Parliament’s rapporteurs for the EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) will hold a press conference to discuss their assessment of ongoing negotiations on the 2028-34 long-term budget. The briefing will be led by co-rapporteurs Siegfried Mureşan, representing the European People’s Party from Romania, and Carla Tavares, from the Socialists & Democrats group in Portugal.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 12 November 2025 at 17:30 CET in Brussels, following a plenary debate focused on the structure and governance of the upcoming EU budget cycle. The press conference will take place in the Anna Politkovskaya press conference room at the European Parliament.

Journalists can participate either in person or online via Interactio. Interpretation services will be available in English, French, German, Romanian, and Portuguese. Organizers recommend that journalists who have not previously used Interactio connect 30 minutes before the start time to conduct a connection test. IT support will be available as needed.

Interactio works with iPad devices using Safari or Mac/Windows computers using Google Chrome. Participants are advised to use headphones and a microphone for better sound quality. Only interventions with video can be interpreted.

Further information about technical requirements and recommendations for remote participation is available through official connection guidelines.
