MEP Jörgen Warborn and Danish Industry Minister Morten Bødskov are scheduled to brief the media today at 10:30 CET regarding an agreement on updated sustainability reporting and due diligence rules for companies. The briefing will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, specifically in the Anna Politkovskaya Room, and will also be accessible online via Interactio.

The European Parliament has reached a deal with EU member states on the final text of the “Omnibus I” directive. This directive aims to simplify sustainability reporting and due diligence requirements for businesses, focusing on reducing the number of companies affected by these rules, easing reporting obligations, and removing certain due diligence responsibilities.

Jörgen Warborn, rapporteur for the Legal Affairs Committee (JURI), will be joined by Morten Bødskov to answer questions from journalists following the conclusion of trilogue negotiations held on December 8, 2025. They will discuss next steps in implementing these changes.

Accredited journalists can attend the press conference either in person or remotely. Those participating remotely can use Interactio to ask questions, provided they follow technical guidelines such as using specific browsers and devices. Interpretation services will be available in Danish, English, French, German, and Swedish. The event will also be streamed live and made available later through Parliament’s Multimedia Centre website.

“Interactio is only supported on iPad (with the Safari browser) and Mac/Windows (with the Google Chrome browser). When connecting, enter your name and the media organisation you are representing in the first name / last name fields.”

“For better sound quality, use headphones and a microphone. Interpretation is only possible for interventions with video. Journalists who have never used Interactio before are asked to connect 30 minutes before the start of the press conference to perform a connection test. IT assistance can be provided if necessary.”

“When connected, open the chat window (upper right corner) to be able to see the service messages.”

For more information about technical requirements or participation details, interested parties are advised to consult official guidelines.
