On July 14 and 15, the European Parliament will host the 107th Rose-Roth Seminar in collaboration with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA). The seminar, titled “EU-NATO Cooperation: Essential Partnership and Democratic Resilience,” will bring together Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), parliamentarians from NATO member states, European Commissioners, experts, and policymakers.

The event will take place in Room 1A002 of the European Parliament’s Spaak building in Brussels. Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, will deliver a video message at the seminar’s opening on July 14 at 09:00 CEST. Marcos Pestrello, President of the NATO PA, will also be present.

The seminar aims to discuss EU-NATO cooperation focusing on resilience against hybrid warfare, disinformation, foreign interference, and enhancing defense capabilities. It will also cover building global alliances to protect democracy with an emphasis on regions like Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, and the Western Balkans.

Prominent speakers include NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska; Commission Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy Henna Virkkunen; Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos; Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius; and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya from Belarus.

Livestreaming and photos of the meetings will be available through the Multimedia Centre. The event is open only to press accredited by the European Parliament. For interview requests with NATO PA members or non-EU speakers, contact [email protected].

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly is a forum connecting 281 parliamentarians from NATO’s 32 member states. It acts as a bridge between the Alliance and its citizens through elected representatives.
